I got my Ender 3 S1 Pro a few years ago. I did a few prints, made a few things. And then after a while I couldn't get anything to stick. I got frustrated and so haven't touched it in about a year and a half. I want to get doing this again but again frustrated. What am I doing wrong? I can post a video if it helps. I watch the nozzle and first time around it seems decent, but as I watch (never watched that close) seems like it may still be too high possibly? I did gouge the original bed nearly 2 years ago so afraid of doing that.

I reset the settings so Z offset was back to 0, then tried to level the bed (used the video at
). To get the nozzle to touch I have to set my z offset to -3.75 (or more). I go through leveling (tried to eyeball but my eyes are bad so used paper) and feel like it's good but nope. No matter what I do. Using PLA with nozzle set to 200 and bed currently at 65. I had a glass bed and was having issues so put on a HICTOP metal bed (had it for a while but never used) and still same issue. I'm so frustrated. I'm using Cura and tried the settings in the video to add to the start gcode, and tried not using them too. Makes no difference.

I have to walk away before I huck it out the window. I'm open to whatever (new bed, replacing parts, superglue whatever). Just feel like an idiot and frankly would hire someone to come and look at it but not sure where to even do that.

Big thanks in advance for any tips, ideas or what I may have missed.

If you could post a video, that might help.

I use a build plate with a textured surface:

Have you tried Creality Print?

I can try another build plate but the one I have has a textured surface. May try again this weekend. So frustrated. Thanks

Also, try hairspray. It works well!

Im gonna resurrect this thread if you all do not mind. I am having similar issues. I can sometimes print large bulky prints and they sometime warp off the bed a little but not bad. I have been playing with speeds and temperatures currently. I am using a glass build plate and it definately sticks well at some point because It darn near takes a jack hammer to get the projects off when they are done. If is Can get it to stay put for the first layer then it usually will be ok its that first layer that is questionable usually. This morning i scraped the plate really good and then cleaned it with an alcohol wipe that did not help at all. I never hear of the hairspray trick but I am going to try that right now if my wipe has any hairspray. I guess I should say I am just using good ole pla filament. If anyone wants to chime in with any other tricks please let me know. I am asssuming the newer printers do a better job of sticking prints? I still fairly new and I am obsessive about things so I will either figure this out or burn my house down trying because I cant give up till I solve the puzzle that is successful 3d printing. Anyhow like I said anyone wants to chime in with tips or tricks by all means. Oh year I forgot to mention I am using the same printer it is a brand new Creality ender 3 s1 pro that I got I believe it was a display model because it had been assembled at one time but you could tell it had never been plugged in to power or run before I bought it off of EBAY/ anyhow thanks in advance to any who participate in my driving myself crazy.
